Great Kitchen Addition
I bought the Cuisinox Gourmet 8.5 quart Dutch Oven primarily for jam making. After using it for the first time I was very pleased. Not only does it look beautiful the quality of the product is excellent. The bottom is flat and heavy and the handles are metal so the entire piece can go into the oven if you want to use it that way. It holds temps and aside from all the hard work it's done for me nothing sticks to it. Not even gooey jams and marmalades. I cook at hight temps and this cookware took the heat. After washing in hot soapy water it looks as good as new. It's getting a real workout this summer and it's just wonderful. I plan to buy another Cuisinox.There is a higher priced Cuisinox Dutch Oven but I don't think buying the high end product would give you better cooking results. I live in the kitchen and give this Dutch Oven a 5 star rating.
Cuisinox, what a great product
This is my second Cuisinox product and I am very pleased. I decided to try this product because of all the great reviews and I was not disappointed. The price is very reasonable. They quality tremendous. I have used Farberware pots all my adult life. Now I have one of the new flat top stoves and some of the old Farberware pots do not sit flat on the stove top. They actually vibrate back and forth. Kind of entertaining to watch, but not cooking efficient. I decided to try a new product and was pleased with the results. Thanks to all the other reviewers for helping me make this choice.
